Our Business

Our primary business is in providing radiation protection advice to organisations using unsealed, sealed and/or x-ray sources of ionising radiation [as required by Regulation 14 of the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017].  We also specialise in providing radioactive waste advice to organisations working with unsealed sources under EPR 2016 in England and Wales and EASR 2018 in Scotland.

Chris Murdock - Orbital RPA director

Chris Murdock (RPA / RWA) is a certificated radiation protection adviser and radioactive waste adviser with more than 20 years’ experience in this field.  Chris originally specialised in environmental radioactivity.  His PhD and post-doctoral research was on the use of uranium-238 decay series & Chernobyl derived radionuclides as tracers of environmental processes.  These research applications have proven invaluable in shaping Chris’s career as an RPA and RWA.
